ROLL IN HEAT TREATING FURNACE WITH CARBIDE FILM EXCELLENT IN BUILD-UP RESISTANCE, HEAT RESISTANCE AND WEAR RESISTANCE

摘要

PURPOSE: To manufacture a roll in a continuous heat treating furnace for a steel sheet excellent in build-up resistance or the like by thermal-spraying a cermet essentially consisting of Cr carbides and contg. a binder such as Ni and Co and the material for improving heat resistance such as Cr and Al on the surface of the roll. ;CONSTITUTION: The surface of the roll used in a heat treating furnace for a thin steel sheet is thermal-sprayed with the cermet material constituted of either alloy of an alloy constituted of 50 to 90wt.% hard metallic carbides of Cr₃C₂ or furthermore NbC, TiC or the like, and the balance at least one kind of Ni and Co as the binder for the same carbides and at least one kind of Cr and Al as the elements for improving heat resistance or an alloy contg. at least one kind of Ni and Co with inevitable impurities by plasma spraying or the like to form a cermet thermally sprayed layer on the surface of the roll.
