PRODUCTION OF RINGS FOR GEARS HAVING INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL TOOTHING AND USE OF COMPOSITE RINGS FOR FORMING INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TOOTHING

PURPOSE: To reduce the mass of a transmission device by arranging a fabric hose of a fibrous composite material having a fiber orientation of ±45° to the bottom and side surfaces of an elongated depression of a rotating production device in a number of layers and filling the remaining free space in the interior of the layers with unidirectionally twisted fibers to perform molding. ;CONSTITUTION: In order to reduce the mass of a transmission gear, a metal is replaced with a high modulus carbon fiber reinforced plastic. In order to obtain a composite material with a fiber orientation of ±45°, the actual inner diameter (r_i) of a finished composite ring is reduced by a corresponding winding. Coarse yarns are wound around a side surface with a desired average radius (r_m) to form a necessary angle of 45° with respect to the tangential line of an imaginary periphery.
