VARIABLE NEEDLE SELECTION TIMING DEVICE IN CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To ensure needle selection timing to be variable even in case signals detected are of pulse type. ;CONSTITUTION: A needle detector 2 detects the passage of a cylinder needle 1 and gives pulse signals. A needle selection timing control unit 4 monitors the signals from the needle detector 2 and predicts the time of the next pulse signal emission along with giving a startup signal based on the emission time predicted. A needle selection device is then actuated by this startup signal, avoiding the delay of needle selection operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
