PURPOSE: To obtain a blood gas analysis method and apparatus with simple maintenance and inspection. ;CONSTITUTION: A solution 14 for measurement (not blood sample) substantially containing no oxygen is supplied to a diffusion cell 13 via a measuring cell 17 and brought into contact with the blood sample to be tested in the diffusion cell through a permeable film 12. Dissolved oxygen in the sample is diffused into the measuring solution through a permeable membrane and the solution is moved in the opposite direction to measure an electrical value corresponding to the partial pressure of the oxygen in a measuring cell 17.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
