METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DETERIORATION OF ZINC OXIDE LIGHTNING ARRESTER

PURPOSE: To inexpensively and easily specify the existence of any having a deteriorated nonlinear resistance element among three-phase arresters connected to each phase of transmission lines. ;CONSTITUTION: Arresters 21, 22, and 23 are connected to each phase of transmission lines and the other ends of the arresters 21, 22, and 23 are commonly connected to the ground through one current detector 44, and then, a voltage detector 3 is connected to the phase 11. When one of the arresters 21, 22 and 23 is deteriorated, the deteriorated arrester can be specified by inputting the pulsating voltage generated at the moment the current value detected by means of the current detector 44 exceeds a prescribed value and another pulsating voltage generated at the peak position of the voltage waveform of the phase 11 measured by means of the voltage detector 3 after inputting the voltage waveform to a computing element 48 to a computing element 49 and calculating the time difference between the generating moments of both pulsating voltages.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
