METHOD FOR PREVENTING DEPOSIT OF DUST IN EXHAUST DUCT OF VACUUM DEGASSING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To prevent the deposite of dust, etc., onto the inner surface of an exhaust dust by a simple system without requring a dust removal means and to perform operation without stopping degassing treatment apparatus. ;CONSTITUTION: At the time of returning back to the atmospheric pressure in a vacuum degassing vessel 1 in which the vacuum degassing treatment is completed, inert gas is blown into the inner part of the duct 3 toward the degassing vessel 1 side through at least one set of a nozzle 4 provided at the suitable duct roof side position between an exhaust hole at the upper part of the degassing vessel 1 and a gas cooler. At the same time of returning back the pressure, the dust, etc., stuck and deposited in the dust 3 is discharged to the outside of the degassing vessel 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
