The diffusion port 16 at the furnace top is then shut off with a cap 9 and the inert gas of the amt. enough to maintain the target oxygen concn. is supplied from the blow port 11, by which the rapid substitution of the atmophere gas and the maintenance of the necessary oxygen concn. are attained.
