MANUFACTURE OF HIGH CONDUCTIVITY AND HIGH STRENGTH STRANDED WIRE

摘要

PURPOSE: To improve the conductivity, the strength, and the straightness of a stranded wire by applying a wire drawing process at a specific processing rate after giving melting treatment to a copper alloy wire so as to form the stranded wire, and then continuously heating and cooling it in a straight line condition. ;CONSTITUTION: An age hardening type copper alloy is made into a billet by melting-forging, and after it is made into a copper alloy wire with a specific diameter by a hot extrusion, a solution treatment is applied, and a wire drawing process is applied at the room temperature in the processing rate 50% or higher. After stranding plural wires into a stranded wire and heating it in an unwound straight line condition in a running heating and cooling device it is cooled to the room temperature and subjected to an aging treatment. Then, the stranded wire is wound on a bobbin. Consequently, a stranded wire with an excellent conductivity and strength, and a good straightness can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
