BREEDING OF BASIDIOMYCETE HAVING HIGH LIGNIN-DECOMPOSITION ACTIVITY BY REGENERATED PROTOPLAST PROCESS

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a new basidiomycete having strong lignin-decomposition activity by temporarily converting a specific basidiomycete into a protoplast to form single cell and regenerating the cell. ;CONSTITUTION: A basidiomycete having lignin-decomposition activity [preferably NK-1148 strain (FERM BP-1859)] is suspended in a buffer solution for protoplast, incorporated with a cell-wall dissolution enzyme and converted to protoplast by incubation. The protoplast is separated by a solid-liquid separation means and suspended. The suspension is regenerated in a protoplast-regeneration medium to obtain the objective basidiomycete.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
