PURPOSE: To impart a persistent mildewproofing effect to a chlorine compound or chlorofluorohydrocarbon solvent or an intermediate product thereof by adding an aqueous sodium silicate solution thereto. ;CONSTITUTION: A fluororesin, e.g. Lublon L-2 (trade name), having a particle diameter of 0.3μm is suspended in a chlorine compound or chlorofluorohydrocarbon solvent comprising, e.g. trichlorotrifluoroethylene or a compound of the formula CCl₂F.CCL₂F, and a gel is formed from the suspension by agitation. An aqueous solution of sodium silicate of the formula Na₂ SiO₃.H₂O is added to this gel so that the substance noncompatible with water is rendered soluble in water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
