PURPOSE: To facilitate the installation work of a manhole, and to shorten the installation time by composing the quality of material of the sub-pipe fixing member of the manhole of foamed styrene or foamed urethane. ;CONSTITUTION: A manhole body 1 is constituted by superposing upright walls 12 on a bottom lump 11. A main pipe 2 is installed onto the upright wall 12, and a sub-pipe 3 is branched from the main pipe 2 and introduced onto the bottom lump 11. The sub-pipe 3 is covered with manhole sub-pipe fixing members 4 divided into the plural and consisting of foamed styrene or foamed urethane. The manhole sub-pipe fixing members 4 are machined previously in a specified shape by using a cutter or a heating wire at that time. The manhole sub-pipe fixing members 4 are covered previously with a thermoplastic synthetic resin. Accordingly, the damage of the sub-pipe 3 by not only normal earth pressure but also the earth pressure of an earthquake can be prevented while foamed styrene, etc., are machined easily, thus readily conducting the installation work of a manhole.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
