PURPOSE:To realize clarification of water quality by means of a submerged fluidized bed and to efficiently clarify water quality by physical adsorption held by granular contact material and microorganisms stuck thereto without marring the sight of lakes and marshes and the closed water area by equipping an outflow prevention mechanism of the granular contact material in the submerged fluidized bed packed with the granular contact material consisting of waste and hanging the whole equipment by a float. CONSTITUTION:Floats 8 are fitted to a fluidized bed made of vinyl chloride pipes 7 and a vinyl sheet 6 in several points. A hopper part 9 in the bottom part of the fluidized bed is made of iron or stainless steel so as to fill the role of a weight underwater. Thereby the fluidized bed is so provided that the same is vertically floated underwater. The packed granular contact material is prevented from being allowed to flow out to the outside of the equipment by a outflow prevention net for the contact material, circulating water flow in the fluidized bed and the specific gravity of the contact material. Water quality is continuously clarified by physical adsorption of the contact material and microorganisms stuck thereto. Therefore water quality is clarified without marring the sight of lakes and marshes and the closed water area.
