PURPOSE: To stop water easily between a skin plate and a concrete lining after the pressing pressure is removed. ;CONSTITUTION: A press ring 50 for use with the lining shield construction method is formed from a press ring body 5, which is interposed between a shield jack 3 and the foremost face of the placed concrete and which transmits the pressurizing force due to the shield jack 3 to the concrete C, and a pressing pad 3b which is fitted in a groove 5b formed at the tail surface of the body 5 and is capable of being protruded backward by a jack 3a piercing the body 5.
