METHOD FOR REGENERATING PLANT BODY OF ADVENTITIOUS EMBRYO FORMED IN LIQUID CULTURE MEDIUM

PURPOSE: To obtain a method for regenerating a plant body of an adventitious embryo formed in a liquid culture medium capable of remarkably improving the regeneration rate of the plant body in bedding the adventitious embryo formed according to a liquid culture method in the culture medium for regenerating the plant body and regenerating the plant body. ;CONSTITUTION: A callus of a plant body proliferated in a liquid culture medium is cultured in a culture medium without adding a plant growth regulator thereto and the callus having a prescribed cell diameter or below is then selected from the resultant callus 4 free of the plant regulator. The callus 4 is subsequently cultured in a liquid culture medium 3 by a shaking culture apparatus 1 to form an adventitious embryo 6, which is then subjected to low-temperature treatment at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed period in a refrigerator 8. The resultant adventitious embryo (6B) subjected to the low-temperature treatment is bedded in a culture medium 9 for regenerating the plant body which is a solid culture medium to regenerate the objective plant body 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
