摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the effectiveness of an activation pretreatment by irradiation with an ion beam by controlling the surface temp. of steel products to be subjected to vapor deposition plating. CONSTITUTION:After the surfaces of the steel products to be formed with vapor deposited plating layers are irradiated with the ion beam, the surfaces of the steel products are maintained at 100 to 400 deg.C and the steel products are subjected to the vapor deposition plating in a vacuum atmosphere. The irradiation with the ion beam is preferably executed at =0.05 Coulomb/m2 irradiation quantity. The vapor deposition plating is executed while different metallic materials are successively or simultaneously deposited by evaporation. The utilization of the latent heat of the steel products is possible as well. The steel products are subjected to vapor deposition plating in a vacuum atmosphere while the surface temp. is in a 100 to 400 deg.C range in the cooling down process of the steel products after the irradiation with the ion beam in such a case.
