PREPARATORY DISCHARGE METHOD OF INK JET RECORDER AND PREPARATORY DISCHARGE CONTROL CIRCUIT THEREOF

PURPOSE: To suppress the power consumption in clocking by a simple structure by a method wherein charge or discharge to a capacitor is carried out in case of an off state of a recorder or its pause state, and a number of preparatory discharge operations of ink is controlled in response to electric potential of the capacitor when the recorder is started again. ;CONSTITUTION: When input of a key is not performed for a specific time, an OFF timer counter provided to a RAM 4 is processed by +1. When an OFF key is pushed down or the timer counter makes a carry be generated, the timer counter stops clocking operation and turns OFF. At that time a capacitor C is gradually charged via a high resistance R₁ connected to a cell +V. Thereafter, when an ON key is pushed down, a discharging port 11-1 being an open drain of an output port group 2 is turned ON for a specific time to discharge a part of the charge stored in the C via a resistance R₂. Its electric potential is taken in with an input port 2, stored in the RAM 4 via a data bus 10, and treated by a preparatory discharge processing until the value becomes zero.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
