JOINING METHOD OF GFRP PIPE AND CONSTRUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: To provide a joining method and construction thereof by which two GFRP pipes to be connected can be joined together simply and surely by forming an adhesive layer of a decided quantity, a decided form, and uniform quality without skillfulness in a short time. ;CONSTITUTION: Two GFRP pipes 2,2 respectively having annular seal materials 1 on the outer circumference of one-side ends are provided, and a pipe-like joint 4 having an annular projection 3 on the inner circumference of the nearly center part is provided. The one-side ends of the two GFRP pipes 2 are inserted inward from both ends of the joint 4, the end parts of the respective GFRP pipes are pressed against the annular projection 3 inside the joint 4, and the seal materials 1 of the respective GFRP pipes 2 are pressed against the respective end parts of the joint 4. Adhesive agent 8 is injected from respective injection ports provided on the outer circumference of the joint 4 and filled in respective annular closed spaces 5 formed between the respective inner circumference of the joint 4 and the outer circumference of the respective GFRP pipes 2 opposed to them, air in the closed spaces 5 is removed from respective discharge ports 7 provided on the outer circumference of the joint 4, and the adhesive agent 8 is solidified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
