Process for assembling glued and laminated timber and solid timbercomponents

The process consists in: - bleeding each component (1) in such a way as tomake a groove (2) along its longitudinal axis of about 10 mm in width; -making on the lateral surfaces of each component (1) a bore (3) of about 25mm in diameter; - inserting, during assembly, a median unbored flange (4)into the groove (2) provided in the component (1); - inserting the head of adowelling gun through the bore (3) provided in each surface of the component(1) and welding to each flange (4) a dowel (5) about 12 mm in diameter; -slotting onto the dowel (5) a metal tube (6) with an internal diameterappropriate to the dowel (5) and with an external diameter appropriate to thebore (3).
