Coupling employs two semi-rigid coupling rings which can be detachably locked together to seal coaxially around the passage from fistula to bag. One coupling ring is fixed around the bag inlet and the other to a support plate fixed around the orifice in the patient. A flexible plastic annulur is used to join the support plate to its coupling ring. This allows the coupling to be moved slightly away from the support plate in an axial direction. The coupling can then be broken and remade without applying stress to support ring and patent.
