Method for control of the working of a geotextile thick layer/membrane for protecting the water table against contamination comprises laying down a layer having an arrangement on one side that ensures that the liqs./water permeating through the membrane are drained away by means of physical forces. They run off towards the low pt. by means of drainage effects. The layer is laid down before the laying down of the membrane.
