Cream for treating profylax skin blisters (e.g. after sunbathing), sun eczema (i.e. light dermatitis polymorphs) or lip blisters caused by a herpes simplex viral infection, comprises = 1cpd. chosen from straight chain, branched, or polyglycol ethers of primary aliphatic alcohols, and contains no pharmacologically active materials. Also claimed is the prepn. of the creams by emulsifying = 1 of the above cpds. with water.
