An apparatus for driving a body 45 into a seating 9a, 7a comprising a pair of matching parts 40, 41 that can be moved relative to each other between a remote configuration and a close configuration. The first matching part 40 is placed so that it bears on the front of an external surface adjacent to the seating and the second part 41 carries the body 45 that is to be inserted in the seating 9a, 7a. The apparatus includes a fluid cylinder 21 inside which a piston 23 can slide. A cam part 46 integral with the piston 23 has an active surface 28 inclined with respect to the axis A of the cylinder 21. An oscillating control arm 33 has one end 35 working with the active surface 28 and the opposite end 37 connected to a second matching part 41.
