Method for determining the time between the sampling instants of an input and of an output sequence of numbers of a digital signal converter by means respectively of a counter Z1 for the input sampling intervals and of a counter Z2 for the output sampling intervals and by means of a storage chain (memory chain, store chain) SK, into which the counter readings of the first counter Z1 are input as data contents and the counter readings of the second counter Z2 are input as address.
