Abstract of the DisclosureA regular-interval mail feeding apparatus isdisposed between an automatic mail discriminating/postmarking apparatus and an automatic mail sortingapparatus, in an automatic mail handling system. Whenvarious kinds of mails are fed at irregularly intervalsfrom the postmarking apparatus to the feeding apparatus,it temporaling stocks the mails at its stock and sendsout the stocked mails one by one at a predeterminedintervals to the sorting apparatus. When one kind ofmails are fed at regular intervals, the feedingapparatus directly conveys the fed mails to the sortingapparatus without passing through the stock, by changingthe mail conveying path in the feeding apparatus byusing a gate member.
