HIGH-SPEED SERIAL DATA ACQUISITION MODULEAbstractCapture commands are generated for a set of datadivided into groups where each group is identified by acontrol word. Typically the data set arrives at thepresent invention as a serial stream. The control wordsaddress registers in a first addressable memory arraywhich contain high addresses to a second addressablememory array. The data words trigger a counter, thecounts of which constitute low addresses to the secondaddressable memory array. The high address and the lowaddress together address registers in the second arraywhich contain capture commands. The capture commandssignal other devices to capture the corresponding dataout of the data set.
