ABSTRUCT Mink growth hormone gene is expressed by using a synthetic DNA encoding a pre-sequence derived from neutral protease II gene of Aspergillus oryzae, a pro-sequence consisting of 7 amino acids and a Kex 2 recognition amino acid sequence. According to the present invention, mink growth hormone is efficiently produced in a short period of time.
