Self-luminous laryngoscope and stroboscopic larynx inspection device

A self-luminous laryngoscope wherein a reflex mirror (24) is so arranged as to define a tightly closed chamber (26), between the chamber and a half-mirror (25), a light source (27) is arranged in said tightly closed chamber (26) so as to emit light therefrom, and the light is controlled to reflect only once at the half-mirror (25) in the light path from the light source to the eye of an examiner. Because of independance of the external light source, operation is easy for even those who are not skilled and inspection of a vocal cord (6) is possible when a man to be inspected lies on his back. Heat of the light source (27) accumulates in the closed chamber (26) and thus fully exhibits condensation preventive function on the half-mirror (25). Further, since the light source (27) is hermetically enclosed in the tightly closed chamber (26), the whole of the device can be sterilized with alcohol after inspection, without damage to the electrical parts such as the light source (27). Heat generated by the light source (27) is dispersed and transferred to both the half-mirror (25) and the reflex mirror (24), thereby causing no fear of burn arising from localized heating.
