The present invention provides an antinephrotic syndrome agent containing a spherical carbon as an active ingredient in an amount effective for treating nephrotic syndrome. The agent is orally administered to patients and , unlike conventional steroid medicines, has no side effects. Further, the present invention provides a method of treating nephrotic syndrome including the step of administering an effective amount of spherical carbon to a patient.
