The present invention relates to a novel process for producing acryloyloxyethylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride, which is used as an intermediate raw material of a polyamide-based cationic polymer flocculant, with high purity and high yield by using a phase transfer catalyst (PTC) .;The present invention provides a process for producing acryloyloxyethylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride which overcomes the problem that a portion is self-polymerized by high temperature during the reaction in a conventional method using a phase transfer catalyst.;The method according to the present invention is characterized in that in the production of acryloyloxymethylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride by reacting dimethylaminoethyl acrylate with benzyl chloride, a polymerization inhibitor is added to dimethylaminoethyl acrylate, and a phase transition RTI ID = 0.0 benzyl /RTI chloride.;The use of a phase transfer catalyst enables the reaction to proceed easily at a low temperature even at a low temperature. Since the resulting product is water-soluble in the form of a quaternary amine, it can be easily obtained in a reactor without filtration and purification, There is no problem in environmental pollution and there is an advantage in that manufacturing cost can be lowered because pure water is used instead of expensive organic solvent.
