SUBSTANCE: layer of modelling liquid in the form of solution with anomalous thermocapillary effect (aqueous solution of n-heptanol) is placed between upper and lower substrates, the liquid is heated to critical temperature, and then the temperature gradient is established by way of heating of one of the substrates synchronously with cooling of the other substrate at the same rate. As a result, four-circulation flow, characteristic for weightlessness conditions, is established. EFFECT: modelling of weightlessness conditions in zonal melting processes. 1 dwg
