FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method of sonar measurement of speed of stream in water reservoir from vessel lines in emission of sequence of acoustic pulses into medium at angle to horizon, in reception of echo signals, in determination of their correlation function for two time realizations and in finding of speed of stream by shift of maximum of correlation function with reference to its zero value. Reception of echo signals is conducted before and after reflection of acoustic pulses from floor. Correlation function is determined for echo signals symmetric in time of arrival with respect to signal reflected from floor. EFFECT: expanded field of application ( oceanology, sea navigation, hydrological surveys in rivers and irrigation systems ). 2 dwg
