SUBSTANCE: gear for determination of optimum period of maintenance of article has differentiating elements, stepped voltage generator linearly changing voltage generator, logarithm-taking elements, subtracters pulse formers, OR gate, AND gates, multipliers, integrator, delay elements, comparators, storage elements, adder, nonlinearity unit, key. Main advantage of gear lies in its ability to determine optimum nominal value of element of article divided by logarithmically-normal law which provides for maximum of probability that integrating output parameter will be within region of permissible values. It allows probability of manufacture of articles that do not meet required technical characteristics to be reduced. EFFECT: expanded application field thanks to determination of nominal value of parameter of article distributed by logarithmically-normal law. 1 dwg
