FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: extracapsular extraction of cataract is done. Before vitreoectomy, artificial membrane is implanted into capsular sack. The membrane is made of biologically inert and optically transparent material. After that the hole is made in back capsule of crystalline lens through the same scleral section; the hole corresponds to optical zone. Subtotal vitreoectomy is made without keeping front sections of hyaline membrane. Artificial membrane is made of graft copolymer of the second-third type collagen and monomer from acryl series.
