Clamping claw for separating and attaching lockable or engageable elements - has fork elements on one end of each of straight and angled legs, forks having curved segment with stepped radii on inside surface
The straight legged and angled legged levers (1,2) move relative to each other in opposite directions on a drive spindle or a threaded bolt (5). There are tool keys or fork elements (3,4) loosely attached to one end of these legs by plug and/or screws (10,11) or attached by rivets or welding. The fork prongs have symmetrical, curved segments with stepped radii, one after the other, along their long axis. There may be ridges on the inside surface, near the top and bottom of the forks. The inside surface may also be knurled. USE/ADVANTAGE - For assembling and disassembling the members of a joining hose. Does not need so much strength for disassembly as similar tools.
