An injection nozzle of an injection molding machine has a heating unit for heating an injection nozzle body projecting from the front end of a heating cylinder that consists of several heating elements provided around and extending in the lengthwise direction of the injection nozzle body. The temperatures of the portions of the nozzle body which are heated with these heating elements are detected independently, the heating elements being controlled independently of each other on the basis of the detected temps. The temps. of various portions of the nozzle body can be controlled independently of each other to desired optimum levels.
