The bottle covers (14) to be moved widen out towards their relevant opening (14b) and fit inside each other. The open end of each row (15) of covers holds a support (16) which supports the conical inner face of the covers. This support widens out radially over the outer contour of the open end of the row outside this open end. The transport tray has parallel channels and each channel has, near at least one channel end, an indentation for holding the widened end (16d) of the associated support.
