The container (1) has an equalising compartment (10) contg. a vol. automatically matched to different filling amounts so that the largest vol. of the equalising compartment is the same or larger than that of the storing chamber (4) for the coffee drink. An inert gas, e.g. carbon dioxide is contained in the equalising chamber led across an equalising line (14) provided with a valve (15). With a reducing amount of coffee drink (5) the gas flows in the storage chamber (14), to fill the part of the vol. no longer occupied by the coffee drink. With an increasing amount of coffee drink, the gas flows in to the equalising compartment (10). The inert gas is essentially without a vacuum. A relief valve (18) and a non-return valve (16) are also in the circuit. A measuring sensor is provided for determining a critical value of oxygen concn. ADVANTAGE - Simple construction for economic operation. Coffee drink can be stored for long time without sacrifice of taste.
