The headrest (10) has a cavity (20) with an adjusting mechanism for horizontal setting w.r.t. a backrest (14). The adjusting mechanics has a strut (22), whose one end section (24) is coupled to the headrest support (12) by a first bearing (26). Its second end section (30) links to the headrest by a second bearing (32). The connections are of swivel type, and the swivel axes of both bearings are mutually parallel, each arrestable in preset angular positions. Pref. the first bearing on the headrest support is linearly displaceable. USE/ADVANTAGE - Car seat headrest coupled by support to backrest is of simple design allowing for not only horizontal but also for inclined adjustment.
