The winding machine is provided with reels of different yarns and has several caddy delivery stations. The reels are on coded pegs which are transported around in groups and held in position by means of stop catches. The spooling positions are on the main transport route for the reels. There are sensors to read the codes on the pegs, which are standing in line at these spooling positions and the sensors give instructions to the appropriate delivery station about the yarn to be unspooled. There are also sensors at the entry to the first delivery station to warn of impending congestion. ADVANTAGE - Simple construction.
