The front pair of castors (9) is supported on a horizontal part (1a) of a horizontal support (1). The back pair of castors (2) is supported on a back downward-sloping part (1b) of the horizontal support when pressure is exerted on the chair frame (6). Both pairs of castors move along a guide bar (12) positioned on one side of the furniture frame (4). The guide bar's free end is supported by a spring (13) which lifts the back castors up from the downward-sloping support part, when pressure is not exerted on the chair frame. ADVANTAGE - When pressure is not exerted on the chair or recliner the latter can easily be erected, and, when pressure is exerted, the user's weight shift continuously erects the chair/recliner.
