Hook to hold purlin on rafter in building roof - consists of flat metal bar with apertures at its ends, accommodating ends of circular section rod bent into U-shape, with hook member fastened to one corner of U-shaped rod to hold purlin
The fastening element is used on the roof of a building. It may be adapted to hold purlins or laths resting on the rafters of a normal roof structure. The fastening element (1) has a flat metal bar (5) with apertures (16,17) at its ends, accommodating the ends of a circular section rod (4,7,6) bent into a U-shape. This element is fitted round a rafter, one of the apertures (17) being slotted so that the bar and rod arrangement may be opened up. A hook (8) is fastened to one corner of the U-shaped rod to hold the purlin. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, cheap and easily fitted hook to hold purlin on rafter in building roof.
