Drinks container with anti-burst device - has screw-on cap with pressure release disc at base fitting onto threaded sleeve welded on container wall

A threaded sleeve (2) is welded into the container wall (1) and a threaded cap (3) is screwed onto the sleeve. The base (4) of the cap serves as a burst disc. The sleeve is pref. made of refined steel and the cap of plastics. The cap can be designed so that it is destroyed when unscrewed. An intact cap represents a guarantee. The threaded sleeve can have an inner circumferential sealing seat and the cap fits on the seat by a sealing ring (6). The base of the cap can have an outer circumferential groove (9) which splits leaving the remaining parts intact. The response pressure is determined by the material thickness and/or quality of the base and can be changed by using caps of the required thickness. USE/ADVANTAGE - Easier handling and adjustment of the release pressures in a drinks container.
