The switch has a housing (11) and a moveable switch contact (1). The latter (1) is U-shaped with two legs (2, 3) which engage in the housing (11) and a bridge (4) connecting the two legs (2, 3). The bridge (4) is arranged outside the housing (11). The two legs (2, 3) each enter the housing (11) via slots (12, 13). The contact (1) is supported on the housing (11) by a compression spring (9). Each leg (2, 3) has at least one nose (21) which engages behind each slot (12, 13). At least one leg (2, 3) has an axial projection (22) which cooperates with the nose(s) (21) engaging behind the slot(s) (12, 13). This projection (22) allows the swing of the contact (1) to be adjusted. ADVANTAGE - Reduces danger of jamming and ensures reliable contacting.
