The rotary movement according to the law of inclined planes is used along with the principle in bolt or nut turning. The principle in box spanners and wheel braces may be adopted and may be assisted by a lever arm. It comprises a sleeve (1) threaded on the outer surface (5) to correspond with the thread on the inner face of an outer sleeve (6) which functions as a spanner. The power transmission is limited in its rotary action and afterwards passes in a normal relationship between the target and effective points. The bolt (2) is pressed down and exerts pressure on a wedge element (8), causing its surface (18) to act on the surface (9) of the wedge element (3), which has a projecting key (7) and is connected (19) to the sleeve. ADVANTAGE - Suitable for a variety of tasks including wheel changing.
