摘要
Non-woven fabrics or non-woven pile fabrics are made from longitudinally oriented batts on stitch bonding machines with two or more fibre batts fed simultaneously but separately to a sew-knit position. They are taken up at different times by a stuffer device and presented together to the working section so that each batt is worked into the fabric differently. Pref. a compound needle (1) with a tongue (2) and sinker (3) has a swinging stuffer device (5) which presses the batt into the needle hook. One batt (6) consists of synthetic fibres with cotton-type properties while another batt (7), consisting of wool-type fibres, forms the vertically arranged pile folds (8). Three batts can be used, with the centre batt having glass, mineral or carbon fibres for special effects. A thin layer of foam material can also be used. USE/ADVANTAGE - For widening the product range which can be produced on sew-knit, viz. stitch bonding machines. Different fibre types can be placed in different parts of the fabric, e.g. in pile fabrics or artificial fur fabrics.
