Jaw implant with rotation symmetrical main body - has densely packed ball layer on surface of main body implant section

The implant has a fastener for an artificial tooth in a rotation symmetrical main body (1). On the surface of latter impact section (4) is a densely packed ball layer (6). Pref. two such layers are provided, one on the other, of balls, ball portions, or other bodies with curved surfaces. Typically the main body and the ball layer(s) is of the same material, e.g. very pure titanium. The surface may be coated with a ceramic film, e.g. a titanium nitride. Between the individual balls (8) and the surface (7) may be intermediate spaces (7). ADVANTAGE - Sufficient hold and strength, and simple mfg. technology.
