In the mechanisms, an axially displaceable adjusting rod (7) extends through the rotor shaft (2) and is effectively coupled to the blades (10, 11). The rod is linked to an adjuster (21), whose axial length is variable in dependence on temp. An adjuster temp. variator is included. Pref. the adjuster contains a bellows (22, 23), enclosing a liq. filled chamber (24). There may be two concentric bellows, pref. in the form of corrugated tubes. The rod may be fitted with a yoke (20), abutting the adjuster, which may be wrapped in a thermal insulation (27). USE/ADVANTAGE - Rotor blade adjusting mechanism is for gas and water turbines, and operates with reduced maintenance, and reduced pollution.
