The camera is mounted with some transverse movement on a vertical pivot (13) on a main frame (9) tilting about a transverse horizontal axis (12). Each end of the main frame is supported by two smaller bogies (1,2) each with two wheels in tandem. The combined effect of the system is to even out irregularities in the track. The smaller bogies are linked to the main bogie by tilt and pivot connections to enable the system to cover lateral irregularities in the track as well as vertical ones. The wheels have soft rubber tyres and the system can include some vertical damping. ADVANTAGE - Effective large wheelbase, improved damping effect, smoother camera action.
