Controlling foil tension in capacitor winding - by dancer roll arrangement to which torque is supplied by DC shunt motor

In a method of regulating foil tension when winding an electrical capacitor, the foil (9) is guided by a dancer roll arrangement, with a rocker arm (5) having a roll (7,8) at either end. Foil tension is adjusted by application of torque at the axis (6) by a DC shunt motor, supplied with current by two highly flexible leads, soldered precisely opposite to each other to the commutator. ADVANTAGE - Constant tension which is reproducible by an inexpensive method.
