The headphone membrane of the left or right channel hangs on the ear by use of a semi-circular-shaped arm. The arm can be tilted inwards towards the ear. Pref. the arms for the left and right ears are connected to each other by an adjustable elastic chin strap. The chin strap may take the form of an elastic band. Alternatively a moveable clamp may be used to hold the two headphone wires together under the chin. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. in hospital for use by patients watching TV. Causes head phone ear pieces to sit better, afford higher user comfort and are relatively cheap to manufacture.
